Newsletter

What is?

                Newsletter is a written report, issued periodically, typically by a business, institution, or other organization, that presents information and news to people with a specific interest in the organization or subject. Normally it is post daily, weekly, monthly... it depends of the web. Those who receive information are called subscribers and they have accept the topic of interest to receive it by mail.

            What is the purpose of a newsletter?

            Newsletters serve numerous purposes, such as disseminating information, motivating performance, and promoting unity, improving morale and supplementing company records. Organizations and businesses often use them as a representational tool. They help an organization spread word about its existence, and they help a business gain more customers.

  Subscription

                I have subscribed to a network called Pharmacy Times.

Pharmacy Times is a clinically-based, monthly journal providing practical information pharmacists can use in their everyday practice. Each issue contains articles and features covering medication errors, drug interactions, patient education, pharmacy technology, disease state management, patient counseling, product news, pharmacy law, and specialty pharmacy. Pharmacy Times Continuing Education (PTCE) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.

            For all of this, I recommend and consider that it is a very good tool in my field. At the time of to sign up, I had to specify my profession and the products from which I wish to receive information.

         As you can see all of them are about my field of expertise, Pharmacy.

         Regarding the first one; Apps for tablets, I would like to say that could be a good tool to engage my students in their pharmacist learning. It provides information about medicines.Not only they provide content related with pharmacy but they also can help to achieve final goals.

         Talking about the second; Apps for computer, these applications are easy to work with, but the most important thing is the possibility to use them in terms of learning application. All of them allow to assist in the learning of medicines in a simple and attractive way.

         Taking into account the third; lessons plans for printing, all the activities found are very useful and also provide didactic and interactive novelties that make learning more fun.

         Moreover, the fourth resource; lesson plan for whiteboard, is a good tool to learn and to teach due to the fact that, pupils who are involved within these interactive activities have the possibility to share and to learn how to do it in a practical way. Doing these activities provide could enhance the classroom challenge, as well as to learn vocabulary, discuss any themes related with the field, do a role-play and so on.  

         And finally, the last one; online publications, in which fresh information provided everyday within the specialty of Pharmacy Times can enhance the learning.
